Internship

Thank you so much for your interest! We hire one-two remote intern(s) typically every semester and are looking for someone who can stay with us for a minimum of 3 months, with potential to extend. This internship will be a paid, fully remote position (but must be based in the U.S.). We are looking for someone who can commit to a 15-20 hour week.

Our ideal candidate is an avid and fast reader with a strong interest in pursuing a career in book publishing; someone who is knowledgeable and well-read in recently published adult fiction and non-fiction; someone who is communicative and able to manage their time; someone who is both comfortable asking questions when they have concerns, but also someone who will take the time to troubleshoot first.

This will mainly be a reading role: interns will be responsible for reading and evaluating manuscripts at any stage of the process (i.e. queries, requested manuscripts, client manuscripts), drafting feedback, as well as other miscellaneous projects as they come up. Interns are also welcome to join our twice weekly agency zooms, where they'll get an inside look on what goes on in the literary agenting and bigger publishing world.
